Applied knowledge is power
Over the course of my transformation journey, I’ve read, studied and applied a wide-range of tools, teachings, and practices. Below is a list of books which have helped me to achieve sobriety and live a life I love. Do bookmark this page, because I am consistently learning, growing and updating this page.
I’m super excited to be able to offer you this amazing book for FREE! This is the first book I read after I decided alcohol was no longer fun and stopped. It’s the book that helped me understand what I’d been able to do. Annie’s book teaches you to understand the science behind how the brain works so you can reverse the conditioning we have around alcohol.

Mrs. D is an alcoholic, albeit a very nice, respectable, articulate, and groomed alcoholic. This is an honest, upfront, relatable account of one suburban housewife’s journey from miserable wine-soaked boozer to the self-respecting sober lady.
Mrs. D is Going Without is an inspirational tale of self-transformation, addiction, and domesticity.
Learning how her blogging journey helped her is what gave me the courage to start this site.

It is filled with practical, easy-to-understand techniques plus real-world case studies. This one I have in audio form and listen to it during my workouts on a regular basis.
Dr. Joseph Murphy reveals the vast influences of the subconscious mind on all aspects of existence-money, relationships, jobs, happiness and how you can apply and direct its power to achieve your goals and dreams.
I’m starting with these three for right now because I believe the number one step to achieving spontaneous sobriety is changing your beliefs. These three books all help you with step number 1.
